GREETING CARDS
“The Most Handcrafted Greeting Cards in the World”: made with the technique used by the Amanuensis Monks in the Italian Renaissance to embellish the Illuminated Manuscripts.
Paper Filigree, also known as “Quilling,” is an art form that involves rolling strips of paper around a long, round object such as a needle or quill.
The origins of this art date back to Ancient Egypt but it spread more widely in Europe and in particular in Italy during the Renaissance when the Amanuensis Monks used this technique to embellish the Illuminated Manuscripts.
